• Job# 191/2005 Technical Consultant
Successful candidate will posses as a minimum a Bachelors degree and will have three or more years of work experience. The job responsibilities will include interaction with project manager and/or directly with our customers and partners in developing state-of-the-art solutions in the areas of application integration, e-commerce, and messaging middleware. Must have the ability to provide technical leadership, work with customers to identify requirements. Must have the technical foresight needed to design and develop cost effective solutions that meet functional and performance requirements based on object oriented software design (OMT, Booch, UML) and development in Java. The applicants must be prepared to travel throughout the host country, continental Europe and North America. Must have the ability to travel as needed, up to 75%.
Skills Required:
• Minimum 2 years experience as software developer with some architectural experience & responsibilities;
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent;
• Excellent understanding of the software product management process;
• Background in software development on UNIX and possibly Windows platforms;
• Development in one or more of the following: Java or Web technologies;
• Experience with developing multi-threaded and event-driven systems design and message-oriented middleware;
• Proven track record of successful architecture delivery and implementation of distributed systems.;
• Knowledge of relational databases TCP/IP, HTTP, XML;
• Strong working knowledge of RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, Sybase, Informix) and ability to design DB schemas and interface with it using ODBC/JDBC;
• Experience in one or more of the following technologies: J2EE/EJB, XML, CORBA, DCOM/DNA, Enterprise software packages (SAP, PeopleSoft, i2);
• Working knowledge of IBM mainframe systems, MVS and CICS is a big plus.
